The Rev. Hillary West, Rector

In 2014 Hillary was called to serve with Epiphany as Priest in Charge.   August 11, 2016 Hillary, joyfully,  was installed as Rector.  She has served in The Diocese of Virginia with St. James's, Richmond as Director of Christian Education before attending both Union Theological Seminary in Richmond and Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria.  Following seminary, Hillary's priestly formation blossomed as she served with Christ Church, Glen Allen as Assistant Rector.   Then, onto serve with St. Thomas' Whitemarsh outside of Philadelphia, where she spent a brief hiatus in the Diocese of Pennsylvania.  Hillary is thrilled to serve, grow and build with Epiphany where God is leading all to be the church on the corner in western Fairfax County!  Hillary and her husband, Freddie have two children, and three perfect grandchildren.

John Borowski, Parish Operations Manager

John was born in Fayetteville, NC and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA.  As a child, he attended Epiphany Episcopal Church in Decatur.  He graduated from Georgia State University, with a BS in Marketing.  During college he spent his summers in Huntsville, Alabama working as a Counselor at Space Camp.   Since graduation, John’s worked at Emory University School of Medicine, United Parcel Service and Carter & Associates.

John and his dog, Candler, moved to Springfield, Virginia in the spring of 2012.  John joined the staff of Epiphany Episcopal in August of 2012.  He and Candler are enjoying the many historical sites in the Virginia/D.C. vicinity.  


Lisa LeJune, Parish Administrator

Lisa has lived in the Franklin Farm community for 13 years. She is originally from Southern California by way of Austin, TX. She studied accouting at San Diego State Univerisity before settling into working as a Financial Reporting Manager for a large worker's compensation company. Ultimately, it was becoming a mother to her two daughters – Alexa (13) & Niki (16) – that led her to her most loved job of the last 15 years: Being a Stay At Home Mom. She shares her home with not only her daughters but her husband, Burt, of 17 years and two dogs, a Cocker Spaniel named Punkin (he’s orange) and a Morkie named Gracie. This member of the Vienna Presbyterian Church is very excited to be working at Epiphany where she has already noticed just how warm and inviting the members of this church happen to be. admin@coee.org or (703) 466-5200 ext. 101.


Dianne Hannum, Bookkeeper

Dianne is married to Chuck Beatty and they share a blended family including Nicole, Steph, Michelle, Megan and Dan. She has served as the administrator at Community of Faith since 2000. In her leisure time, she enjoys family, friends, cooking, reading, walking and theatre. Di's professional background is in administrative and construction management. She has worked in California, New York and Virginia. She serves as the bookkeeper at Epiphany. You can contact her at bookkeeper@coee.org.

 


Gayle Massey, Pre-school Director 

Gayle comes to Epiphany's Preschool August 15, 2016 with eighteen years of preschool experience, teaching and leading, as well as five years of elementary public school teaching experience.  In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Gayle has faithfully completed Stafff Development training yearly.  She's adept at plannng and implementing lessons, supporting teachers in maintaining classroom structure and parental communication.  Gayle is experienced in training staff as well as growing a preschool to meet the needs of the community.  She loves children and it has been said, Gayle "smiles with her eyes" when she talks about God's most blessed children!  Come learn about Epiphany Preschool with Gayle by calling (703) 466-5204 or going to www.epiphanypreschooloakhill.org


 Jiji Park, Principal Musician

Jiji Park has been serving as organist at Epiphany Church since October, 2008. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in music and holds a master’s degree in piano performance from the school of music at George Mason. As an active performer, she has performed locally and internationally. She resides in the neighborhood area and loves to cook for her family and friends. She also enjoys working with children. 

 


Jane Waldrop, Music Director                                                                                                                                                               

Jane joined the staff at Epiphany on January 28, 2015 and immediately began the process of creating a Children's Choir. In addition to her work at Epiphany, Jane is a part time Choral Director and Music Teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools. Her goal for the Muisc Ministry of Epiphany is to create an inviting environment for an Adult Choir and she strongly believes that Children's Choirs are essential to a Church.   Contact Jane: choir@coee.org

Thomas J. Scott, Interim Communications Director

Tom Scott joined the staff of Epiphany in February of 2017. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Union College and is an aspiring lawyer. He handles Epiphany's internal communications, social media accounts and web site. Contact Tom: commdir@coee.org
