Hypothermia Prevention Program 2024
As part of Fairfax County’s Hypothermia Prevention and Response Program administered by FACETS and carried out in partnership with local faith communities across the county, Epiphany opens its doors for a week each year to guests needing shelter in the cold months.
Our dates this year are December 8th – 15th, 2024.
Program Facts:
- Over 30 faith communities participate in this effort from November through March each year
- Guests are provided with not only shelter, but warm food, transportation, and entertainment
- This is a 100% volunteer effort. We enable the program through the work of dedicated volunteers and donations – monetary, food, and other necessities.
- During the program, guests can interact with case managers and county healthcare professionals, with the goal of assisting them with rapid rehousing.
- It takes over 100 volunteers to make one week of the shelter a huge success!
